A container keeps cargo in a standardized handling unit across multiple transport legs. FCL assigns a full container to one shipment, while LCL consolidates smaller compatible shipments so each customer uses only part of the container.
We compare sea, rail and road legs, review terminal requirements and plan consolidation. Container type and size are confirmed only after the cargo, packaging, weight and loading conditions have been checked.

Questions and answers
FCL and LCL questions
01Should I choose FCL or LCL?
FCL is generally considered for larger loads or when a dedicated container is needed. LCL can suit smaller volumes but includes consolidation and deconsolidation. Both should be compared for the actual shipment.
02Can cargo from different suppliers be combined?
Yes, when the goods and document sets are compatible. Shipments can be received, labeled and prepared for one consolidated container movement.
03Which container sizes are available?
Standard 20-foot and 40-foot units are common. Special equipment and cargo-specific requirements must be checked before booking.
04Are terminal charges included?
The quotation states which operations are included. Storage, inspection, demurrage or other event-based costs are identified separately where applicable.
